Vandals Travel to Arizona for Big Sky Soccer Match

The University of Idaho women’s soccer team heads west for a Big Sky Conference matchup against Northern Arizona University on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2026. The contest will take place at Lumberjack Stadium in Flagstaff, Arizona, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. PST.

The Vandals enter the game riding a five-match unbeaten streak. Idaho recently drew Northern Colorado 0-0 on Thursday afternoon in Greeley before traveling to face the Lumberjacks. The draw extended Idaho’s defensive resilience, as the team held off a Northern Colorado side that outshot them 11-5.

Goalkeeper Paula Flores made two saves during the match against Northern Colorado. Those stops secured her program-record 24th career shutout. Idaho finished with three shots on goal in the scoreless draw.

Recent Results and Defensive Stats

Prior to the trip to Greeley, Idaho defeated Idaho State 3-0 at home. Hallie Prinos-Grumbach, Georgia Whitehead, and Makenna Stuart scored in that victory. The win helped solidify the Vandals’ defensive record early in conference play.

Idaho has allowed just one goal through its first three Big Sky Conference matchups. Over a span of 13 matches this season, the Vandals recorded eight straight shutouts and allowed only six goals total. That defensive consistency positions Idaho to seek its second Big Sky victory of the season in Flagstaff.

Northern Arizona Enters on Winning Streak

Northern Arizona enters the matchup with a 5-4-2 overall record and a 1-0 conference mark. The Lumberjacks defeated Eastern Washington 1-0 on Thursday, extending their unbeaten streak to four matches. That win marked NAU’s first consecutive victories of the season.

Micala Boex leads the Northern Arizona offense with five goals this season. Boex was named Big Sky Preseason MVP and received Co-Offensive MVP honors in 2025. She scored the game-winning goal against Eastern Washington on Thursday.

What Comes Next

Following the road trip to Arizona, Idaho will return home for homecoming weekend. The Vandals are scheduled to host Utah Tech and Southern Utah in consecutive matches. Those games will offer opportunities to build on the current unbeaten run and improve their standing in the Big Sky Conference.
