Vandals Add Junior College Standout Brady Kennison To 2026-27 Roster

University of Idaho Men’s Basketball Adds Junior College Standout Brady Kennison to 2026-27 Roster

MOSCOW, Idaho — The University of Idaho men’s basketball program continued bolstering its roster for the upcoming season with the addition of North Platte Community College standout guard Brady Kennison, head coach Alex Pribble announced Thursday.

Kennison, a 6’2″ guard from Loveland, Colorado, becomes the sixth spring addition to the 2026-27 Vandal squad and the program’s first junior college signee in the 2026 recruiting class. He joins previously announced additions Kase Wynott, Diego Trejo-Delgado, Hudson Ward, TJ Wal, and Nolan Newman-Gomez as Idaho works to defend its Big Sky Conference title heading into next season.

A Proven Scorer and Elite Shooter

Kennison’s statistical profile from his sophomore campaign at North Platte Community College is difficult to ignore. In 30 games for the Knights last season, the guard averaged 18.5 points per game while shooting 41.8 percent from the field. His most notable achievement was draining 111 three-pointers on the year — the most by any single player in the NJCAA — a mark that earned him a first-team All-Region selection.

Kennison also showed versatility beyond his scoring ability. He posted two points-assists double-doubles and turned in three 30-point performances during the season. His most explosive effort came in February, when he erupted for 39 points on 13-of-20 shooting in a single game.

Before arriving at North Platte, Kennison played his freshman season at Collin College, where he averaged 10 points per night and reached the 20-point mark twice. His two-year junior college career demonstrated consistent development and a scoring instinct that caught the attention of Idaho’s coaching staff.

Coach Pribble expressed clear enthusiasm about what Kennison brings to Moscow. “Brady is exactly what this team needed,” Pribble said in remarks attributed to the program. “A proven scorer, an elite three-point shooter, and a very good playmaker as well. He’s a great kid who plays the game with a little chip on his shoulder. He’s also a good student, and he will thrive in the Moscow community. We can’t wait to get Brady out here and get to work!”

Idaho Building Around Big Sky Success

The addition of Kennison signals that the Vandals are not resting on their Big Sky Conference title. The coaching staff has been active in the transfer portal and recruiting pipeline throughout the spring, bringing in a mix of talent with varied collegiate experience to reinforce the program’s competitive foundation.

Kennison’s arrival gives Idaho a high-volume perimeter threat capable of creating his own shot and stretching opposing defenses. Three-point shooting at an elite level remains one of the most valuable commodities in modern college basketball, and Kennison’s NJCAA-leading total last season suggests he is more than capable of competing at the Division I level.

The University of Idaho’s commitment to on-court performance mirrors its broader institutional strengths in Moscow. The university continues to attract students who balance athletic and academic demands — a trait Pribble specifically highlighted when discussing Kennison’s character and academic standing. The Vandals are scheduled to compete in the Big Sky Conference in 2026-27, and the full conference schedule has already been released. Fans can review the Vandal Soccer 2026 and 2027 conference slates for additional scheduling news across the athletic department.

The University of Idaho remains one of the region’s most prominent institutions, not only in athletics but in research and academic achievement. Earlier this spring, the university received welcome news when federal officials reinstated a major grant tied to the university’s agriculture research program, a development that underscored the institution’s standing in Idaho’s land-grant mission.

What Comes Next

With six spring additions now confirmed, the Vandals’ 2026-27 roster is taking shape ahead of preseason preparations later this year. Fans and followers can monitor roster updates and team news through the official Vandal athletics website at govandals.com and the program’s social media channels. Additional roster moves and schedule details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks as the program finalizes its lineup for the upcoming Big Sky Conference campaign.
