Northern Arizona defeated Idaho 3-0 in women’s volleyball on Oct. 29 in Flagstaff, Arizona, winning the sets 25-21, 26-24 and 25-16.
Quincy Coyle led Northern Arizona with 16 kills and three aces. Ella Hosfeld added 17 assists, while Mallory Reynolds recorded 14 assists. Coyle, Kate Federico and Hanah Stoddard each finished with nine digs.
Northern Arizona recorded 36 kills, six aces and 10 blocks. Gigi Greenlee led the Lumberjacks with six blocks, and Masina Perez added four. Greenlee, Lauren Edlund and Avery Gottschalk each had four kills, while Stoddard recorded six.
Idaho finished with 32 kills, 30 assists, one ace and five blocks. Northern Arizona hit .192 for the match, compared with Idaho’s .026. The Lumberjacks also held advantages in points, 52-38, and committed 16 errors to Idaho’s 29.
The second set included seven tied scores. Northern Arizona hit .163 in that set before closing out the match with a 25-16 third-set victory.
The win moved Northern Arizona to 13-9 overall and 7-4 in Big Sky Conference play. Idaho fell to 12-11 overall and 3-8 in conference play.
Northern Arizona was scheduled to play Eastern Washington on Oct. 31 at 1 p.m. MST at Rolle Activity Center. The match was scheduled to stream on ESPN+.
