The University of Idaho men’s basketball team has been named to the NABC Honors Court for the 2025-26 academic year, marking the program’s third consecutive selection under head coach Alex Pribble.
The National Association of Basketball Coaches recognized more than 400 teams from nearly 1,300 four-year institutions sponsoring men’s basketball programs across NCAA and NAIA levels. Idaho’s selection reflects strong academic performance alongside athletic achievement during a season that culminated in a Big Sky Tournament championship and an NCAA Tournament berth.
Record-Setting Classroom Performance
The Vandals posted a fall semester team grade-point average of 3.43, setting a program record. Fifteen players earned a 3.0 or higher during the fall term, demonstrating widespread commitment to academic standards. The team maintained a 3.21 spring semester GPA, sustaining that level of achievement through the entire year.
Pribble emphasized the dual focus required to achieve success in both arenas. “It’s always great to make the NABC honors court,” he said. “We want our young men to be true student-athletes and to push themselves towards excellence in the classroom and on the court.”
Individual Recognition
Nine Vandals earned individual honors court selection: Aidan Sevilla, Biko Johnson, Brody Rowbury, Isaiah Brickner, Kristian Gonzalez, Miles Klapper, Seth Joba, Titus Yearout, and Tyler Linhardt.
The team’s Honors Court selection marks the fourth in program history, with three of those coming during Pribble’s tenure. The consecutive selections underscore a consistent institutional priority on balancing competitive athletics with rigorous academic standards—a standard that extends beyond basketball to reflect broader university values.
For Moscow and the Latah County community, the achievement represents sustained excellence at the University of Idaho, one of the region’s largest employers and educational anchors. The recognition also reflects positively on the athletic department’s commitment to recruiting student-athletes capable of competing at the highest collegiate level while maintaining strong academic standing.
The NABC Honors Court selection comes as the program prepares for the upcoming season following its postseason tournament appearance. The balance of athletic and academic success that led to this honor will likely remain a priority as the Vandals look to build on their recent tournament accomplishment.
