The University of Idaho has appointed Brooke Blevins as interim provost and executive vice president, effective immediately. Blevins transitions into the role from her position as dean of the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences, a post she has held since 2022.
During her tenure as dean, Blevins worked to grow academic programs, strengthen institutional partnerships, and advance research efforts within her college.
University President Scott Green praised the appointment, calling Blevins “a thoughtful, collaborative leader who understands the importance of student success, academic excellence and strong partnerships across Idaho.”
The leadership move comes as the University of Idaho continues to manage key administrative positions. Earlier this year, the institution also received authorization for salary flexibility tied to a short-term hire at the administrative level.
Blevins now steps into one of the university’s top academic leadership roles as the Moscow-based institution heads into the summer term.
